I apologize for the delay in getting back to post this update.
Nearly two weeks ago a very good friend of mine left New Zealand for good. He had informed me four weeks before he left about his discussion to go and before I knew it the four weeks just flew by and he was gone. After he had left I was quite sadden about his departure and wished I had spent more time with him. It was at this point I realized that this website I edit was absorbing most of my spare time and that my social and family life was secondary. It was this realization that made me take time off to evaluate what I was doing.
Now most nights I dedicate a good four to five hours to this website and quite often much longer; I receive between sixty to a hundred plus emails a day and their contents have to be checked plus news updates on various sites have to be viewed. Then of course there is the work involved in posting news updates and articles on this website. It all takes time and I certainly would not hesitate in my commitment in doing this if I thought I was doing some good in awakening people to reality.
Another problem is the financial cost involved in running this website. The annual costs are as follows: Web hosting $499.95, PO Box $145, broadband connection $8939.28. Total $1,484.23. Then there is the cost of computer upkeep. The system I have is over five years old and has been maintained with second-hand parts, the fact is it needs to be completely replaced; estimated cost of replacement in the vicinity of $2,400. Now due to my financial situation I can no longer afford these costs. Over the last eight months of this year I have only had three months paid employment; now I am not claiming I am destitute but I am in a situation where I am barely keeping my nose above water so-to-speak. The fact is all core members of the ISS in New Zealand are working class people in more-or-less the same situation that I am facing – none are rich.
Problem One
The first problem is to raise at least $3,900 before the end of March 2012. If this in not accomplished then I will have no alternative then to close the website down. All I am asking for is that people who think this website worthy donate $1 per month to keep with its running expenses. Of cause if you would like to give more then it would be greatly appreciated. I have personally kick off the fund by donating $52 (a dollar a week for the next 12 months). If we fail to raise the full amount we well donate the funds raised to a alternative news site/s of my choosing. If this should come about then details would be posted on this website for a month before it closes.
If only 10% of our visitors give $1 per month this would enable this us to host the videos that we presently just link to. Just linking to videos to an outside sources can be problematic as quite often the links to these videos change or the videos are deleted.
Now $3,900 shouldn’t be a great deal of money is rise taking into consideration that in late 2009 a New Zealand atheist group launched a campaign to raise $10,000 to run a controversial slogan on the side of New Zealand buses. The advertising slogan read: "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life".
Now what is interesting to note is that within a week of launching their campaign the New Zealand group raised nearly $23,000 from public donations.
As I previously mentioned $3,900 shouldn’t be too much of a problem to raise taking into consideration that the people who like this website should be more motivated then a bunch of atheists who have nothing better to do then to antagonize people about their religious beliefs.
Now since the website was launched in May 2010 not one dollar has been donated to this website. Is it because visitors thinks it unworthy to support, if so why do certain visitors return on a regular basis? If you would rather spend hours online searching for the type of information posted here then so-be-it; by-the-way how much do you spend a week on Establishment controlled newspapers? Cripes you can not buy a newspaper for under a dollar.
Problem Two
The second problem is that according to reports Holocaust denial may become illegal in NZ. According to news sources "POSTING racist or xenophobic messages on the internet and Holocaust denial could be illegal if New Zealand signs up to a international cyber-crime agreement. . . One proposal involves the Government signing the Council of Europe Cyber Crime Convention, also known as the Budapest Convention. .A protocol of the convention requires nations to make ‘the dissemination of racist and xenophobic material through computer systems’ a crime. It also makes denial or justification of the Holocaust and other verified genocides illegal. Almost 30 nations have ratified the convention."
Now I have been inform that as editor of this web site that if I visited one of the countries that have signed up to this Budapest Convention (take Germany for example) I would in all probability be arrested, found guilty and get a couple of years in prison, if it is proven that people within that country had read information that contravenes the Budapest Convention that I had posted on this website.
I have posted a letter here addressed to the New Zealand Minister of Justice, Simon Power, by an associate of mine, Dr. K R Bolton, which outlines the legal minefield that the Budapest Convention creates.

Anyway if New Zealand does sign the Budapest Convention (there is little doubt in my mine that it won’t) then this website (if still up and running) will have to be hosted outside of New Zealand in a country that is not a signatory to the Convention. I will look into this near the end of the year if our financial appeal is bearing fruit.
In the meantime I have posted a few videos below. The first five videos would without doubt contravene the Budapest Convention. I will also, periodically, archive articles of interest. Links to these articles will be posted (along with their date of posting) beneath the videos post below.
